Since the Coronavirus or COVID-19 has brought about the Movement Control Order (MCO) and Circuit Breaker (CB) in Singapore as well as lockdowns in many other countries, we need to ensure all social distancing rules are followed closely. This is to ensure that we recover quickly and bounce back from this situation as soon as possible.
Social distancing can help to slow down and eventually stop the spread of the virus, as well as effectively reduce the pressure on our healthcare services and frontline workers such as doctors, nurses, hospital cleaners, who are putting their lives on the line to keep us safe.
This pandemic may seem overwhelming, but in truth, every person can help slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. By doing your part, you can make a big difference to society.
We have compiled a list of some tips and tricks to help you make sure that you are social distancing the right way! As a global community, we have the power to write the narrative of how the pandemic will play out. All we have to do is to try our best to stick to the guidelines. Stay safe during this period!
1. Maintain a distance of at least 1 meter between yourself and others when you are out. If there are guides or markers on the floor, follow them.
2. Avoid public transportation or crowded areas. If you must use public transportation, follow the markers that have been pasted on the seats of the buses and trains that tell you where you can or cannot sit.
3. Don't go out if you don't have to. This is to limit the risk of you contracting the virus and possibly spreading it to your loved ones when you get home.
